The project was developed by the FRC and received funding support from the WACC. The main purpose of the project is to build capacity of Kwéyòl language users to utilize the Kwéyòl language in social media discussions, blogs and web posts on a wide range of matters related to sustainable development, community action and national governance, in effect making them citizen journalists. The project was officially started in June 2019 after meetings were held with some members of the community of Monchy, Babonneau and Mon Repos. The facilitators for the Kwéyòl Language teaching were as follows: Monchy (Marylin Hyacinth; Babonneau (Michael Gaspard; Mon Repos (Kentry Jn Pierre).
